Beautiful. Fashionably brilliant. Strong. A true business guru. Creative. Wears the sickest pants and doesn’t look anything but amazing. Likes loud makeup. Phenomenal model. Amazing friend.
It’s funny to think that the first time Liv and I hung out was at a Panera on Wards Road. I didn’t realize that first day how much of an impact she would have in my life or that she would be one of my best friends a year later. I remember her outfit that first day we met. I hadn’t really ever seen someone dress the way that she does and I thought it was so sick. To this day, every time I see her I think the same thing. Liv is a really cool kind of artist because her body is her canvas. She wakes up every morning and creates by just putting an outfit together and it’s so awesome.
Liv is one of the hardest workers I have ever met. She literally just went out and got an internship last summer with her favorite designer in NYC. She went to NYFW and was featured on their Instagram in an outfit almost completely constructed at goodwill and she looked INCREDIBLE. She is a hustler in a very real sense. She knows what she wants and she is determined to do it and its inspirational as a friend, and as an artist, to watch.
Getting to know liv consisted of a lot of laughs, late night drives up the LU mountain and many, many notes. Olivia has a phenomenal heart for the Lord. She is someone who inspires me because she is constantly moving forward in her spiritual walk. She hates being stagnant. She is only ever really satisfied when she can see herself growing and how incredible is that? She has been an encourager, someone to laugh with, someone to dream with, someone to create with, and someone who constantly brings me back to the fact that God is sovereign.
My favorite memory with Olivia was from last semester. She helped me and modeled for me in my first styled studio shoot. I had spent hours sewing these building blocks together with fishing line and we were going to hang them in the studio and do this big shoot. (Shout out JM for helping pre-relationship???? S/o God???) Anyways, this shoot was a really big deal for me and I was so excited to do it and so was she. Her enthusiasm to help me especially in a time where I didn’t really know what I was doing was amazing. What was the most encouraging was that she had to have known I was kind of just winging it but she was pulling for me. She was there. She was present and patient and the best model. It would be an honor to be able to shoot her for the rest of my career. That was one of the best days of my life in the least dramatic way. It was a day that I realized my passion in a very intimate way and she was there, she showed up. So thank you Liv.
Thank you for being constant. Thank you for being hilarious and for loving to laugh so much. Thank you for being so creative and for wanting to always grow in that. Thank you for loving and living for the Lord and pushing me to do the same. Thank you for listening like you do. Thank you for having such an amazing look. Thank you for always being excited to shoot with me and for always coming up with ideas. I hope we have the chance to work with each other in New York. I can’t wait to know you long time. Thank you for loving Colossians as much as I do. You are lowkey my artistic muse so, you’re welcome? I love you chick.
